What pushed Meri to seek love elsewhere?

cheaterI saw this question on facebook this morning and thought I would share my thoughts and feelings on the subject.

What pushed Meri to seek love elsewhere? http://ow.ly/UIrw0

I’m a supporter of the show, I actually hope it survives the fallout. So don’t get me wrong for what I’m about to say. But it seems to me …

While it may not have always been so, today’s #TheBrownFamily isn’t what I would consider a plural marriage. It’s not one husband and four wives it’s four households sharing one man between them. So maybe you get the man a night or two in what, two weeks time? ANY women in that position is going to feel lonely and depressed at some point. Especially a women whose child has grown and flown the nest which alone can start the spiral down into a depressive state, as I well know.

However in this particular situation, Meri YOUR NOT ALONE, you never we’re.

As a married woman myself I know the hardships well. I should I’ve raised five children in our thirty-something year marriage. However I don’t have the support Meri does. I have one real sister who has never been there for me. I have three real brothers who also have not been there for me. My mother is long gone and my father means well but I never hear from him unless I reach out. I wasn’t blessed with sister wives as you we’re – and yes I think of it as a blessing. BUT I have to think if I had been I would have latched on to them with pride and love in my heart as I would have my own sister given the chance – which we never got.

I feel bad for Meri some what but I don’t feel sorry for her, NOT one bit. Karma is a bitch babe. For someone whose lucky enough to have not just one partner but basically four to let themselves fall into the internet romance trap. Bahhh NO I don’t feel sorry for her, nor for Cody or any of the other wives who ALL put their family in the situation they are in today.

If your not aware of the situation, your going to be seeing a lot of huff this week about Meri being catfished but truthfully it’s all about Meri got caught having an online affair with a man BUT it turned out to be the catfishing bitch, Jackie Overton.

Your Right – The Way Kristen Stewart is Hounded by Paparazzi Does Sicken Me!

I admit it, with all the negative hype lately even I’m guilty of thinking “what an ungrateful bitch”. But you know what SHAME ON ME and shame on you if you’ve thought the same!

I would think it’s a fair thought, believing that there are some bad apples out there in Hollywood who do a great job “acting” like there nice people only to be really ugly people behind closed doors. But maybe that just isn’t always the true story. This article and video about Kristen Stewart shares her misery and frankly anyone who’s hounded this much is bound to crack!

Phil Robertson Get’s a Pass From A&E

How completely disgusting…

phil-robertsonPhil Robertson can make racial and homophobic comments in GQ and apparently it’s OK.

Phil On Growing Up in Pre-Civil-Rights-Era Louisiana
“I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field…. They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!… Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.”

I read this as black people were Godly and happier singing while hoeing cotton (as Phil witnessed) pre-welfare and pre-entitlement. So in other words now black people must be unGodly, on welfare, and have entitlement issues?

Did HE really just say that! YES, and more!

I don’t need to be black to find those words offensive. Shame on you Phil Robertson!

So A&E immediately responds with suspending Phil from their (and his) #1 reality cable show Duck Dynasty, permanently. Only that really means a few weeks because when put under pressure by petition signing Americans (and let’s be honest what would be millions lost in revenue) A&E relents and drops the suspension.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter A&E says:
After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family. We will also use this moment to launch a national public service campaign (PSA) promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people, a message that supports our core values as a company and the values found in Duck Dynasty.

Wow. Way to promote the message of unity and tolerance A&E.

The Duck Dynasty family gets paid $200,000 per episode to share family antics and Godly views. Phil Robertson spreads the word – the Word to many means ‘the Bible says so”. Phil albeit possibly well-meaning makes comments that are easily construed as racist and homophobic and gets away with it because he waves the freedom of religion flag and if that’s not enough the fans throw about the flag of free speech too back it up. OR to be blunt, he can be a racist homophobic asshole if he wants too and get his fans to rally about the internet with threats of boycotts. What’s he got to worry about, he’s apparently not anything like all those other celebrities (reality or otherwise) who have lost their jobs for homophobic and/or racist comments.

Hey you did it Phil, you got to publicly state your views (wrong or right it doesn’t matter) and still claim your fame. Check it off your bucket list dude!

On a Personal Note: In response to some comments I’ve gotten.

Am I mad? Yes I am. When your getting paid by a network and taking endorsements that makes you a spokesperson for those companies. By signing on the dotted line you make yourself accountable to those companies policies. Making disparaging (yes I said disparaging look it up) comments about race or sexual orientation even in the name of religion is a sure fire way to get knocked out of that spot light. No one is taking Phil’s freedom of speech away. He can spew all the discriminatory or racial comments he wants – as an American he has that right – but he can not SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO break the company policies that he agreed to by signing a contract and then expect there not to be consequences.

I am American, it is our constitutional right to free speech as well as not to be persecuted for our religious beliefs – true. However there’s a fine line between religious freedom and spouting your own personal views while waving the religion flag. So if your gonna use the excuse that Phil was just quoting the bible — get real. Rather than include the many outrageous comments Phil stated in the GQ interview I’ll only use this one example:

This is paraphrasing or what some might say, stating an opinion since it’s your words whether true or false;

“The Almighty gave us this. Genesis 9 is where the animals went wild, and God gave them wildness. After the flood, that’s when he made animals wild. Up until that time, everybody was vegetarian. After the flood, he said, ‘I’m giving you everything now. Animals are wild.’”

This is quoting the Bible;

Genesis 9
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

If your Christian or not be honest with yourself because Phil’s public comments while might have been based on his beliefs we’re completely judgmental and intolerant in nature. And the bottom line is this, Phil’s comments we’re plain out of line for a paid public spokesman for multiple companies to which he’s contracted to for not only the TV show but merchandising as well.

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Matthew 7.2

Montana Mountain Man Arrested for Trying to Feed Himself

I commend this man for standing up for what he see’s at his “Right”s. But then I think it’s not like he’s accomplished anything more than coming off looking like a fool along with most of his supporters. I don’t disagree with his bottom line, heck I’ve gone on a rant recently myself after receiving a $900 tax bill on land we just spent seventeen years paying off. I don’t even have school age children anymore but yet a good portion of this county tax bill is for school taxes – like wtf.

However when it comes to the US government nothing is going to change — the US has become a nation of over-weight lazy people (yes myself included) who either don’t have the will power (or money) to over-throw our government or frankly many just don’t care.

Then again; maybe some day some fanatical right wing group such as radical Texans who have threatened secession multiple times will actually do more than blow hot air. My question is this, “what good will it really do”? So maybe you succeed with the dramatic departure but then what, one corrupt government gets replaced with another? Our government claims to be for/about the people but we as the people know that’s a lot of bull hockey. Maybe some of our government officials care about this country but when they themselves are governed by congress and state representatives who too many of are attached to corrupt industries willing to line their own bank accounts rather than do whats right for said people — government fails. I see it as a domino effect, the corruption has been let to build for so long now there’s no easy way out if, at all. And no one person or even group of persons at this time are truly enough to make a difference.

Now maybe I’m ranting and probably not very clearly but rather than fight against the tide I say life is too short so make the best of what you have or can accomplish now. We only have a 100 years at best in this world why use them up on crap we seriously have no control over. Don’t get me wrong, I applaud those people who dedicate there lives to change, I really do. But for me personally, I’m just not into beating a my head against the wall. I really hope I don’t offend anyone with my opinion, it wasn’t my intentions — this is just how I feel.

That’s all I have to say about that. – Forest Gump

Shame on you Stephanie Meyer’s

stephenie-meyerHas Stephanie Meyer’s joined team haters for her own creation The Twilight Saga? I’m really flabbergasted that she didn’t think before replying to a recent Q&A with Variety. Because most people do not want to be a one hit wonder, it’s understandable that she is ready to move away from the Twilight media-sphere. Especially after the fiasco and pain caused by the leakage of her novel Midnight Sun which was subsequently rumored to have been finished for Meyer’s mother but never released. However to actually say “I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be.” when asked about a possible return to Twilight was completely thoughtless and rude to the millions of fans who have made The Twilight Saga the success it is.

And apparently I’m not the only one who feels this way either. I saw this article posted to facebook earlier and it bring up another point as well. Twilight Saga fans have had to endure endless mocking just for being Twilight fans since the series is well-known for having a lot of very passionate haters. I will say I hope the responses Meyer’s gave we’re a lapse in judgement and not a sign that she has jumped camps.

~ I’m one very disappointed Twilight Saga fan.

Why is this type of situation not harassment?

Especially after the laws post 911 … I can clearly see that the portion of this video is setup in such a way to make one person look bad “Kristen Stewart” by not showing it’s entirety which would presumably show this guy provoking her. To claim or defend a Paparazzi with “He/I’m just doing my job” is wrong. IF goading a celebrity (or anyone) into losing their temper isn’t clear enough harassment for the law then I feel bad for the law that community. Maybe it’s time for a new Sheriff or Chief of Police, one who knows how to read the laws he was hired (or elected) to enforce.

Harassment (/həˈræsmənt/ or /ˈhærəsmənt/) covers a wide range of behaviours of an offensive nature. It is commonly understood as behaviour intended to disturb or upset, and it is characteristically repetitive. In the legal sense, it is intentional behaviour which is found threatening or disturbing.

I remember when my gurls we’re still in high school and a simple “I’ll kick your ass” got a kids parents called who we’re then threatened that the child may still be charged with harassment.

Consider other professions who do not get away with miss-conduct and then ask yourself why are the laws not being served the same for all? A teacher’s job includes disciplining our children in the eight plus hours they are in charge of them. Don’t think so? I suggest you read your schools handbook. A doctor can get sued for a patient’s accidental death. There a fine line to be walked and most people know exactly where the edge of that line is for example police officers who use excessive force. Using your job as cover to cross a line still equals harassment (or worse) which is wrong, period.
